Merry Christmas everyone!
Here are a few pictures of our Christmas Eve with the Cieszko's (Chris's family), and Christmas morning here at home, and finally Christmas Day at the Batts' home (Alison's family). Christmas Eve afternoon/evening, we spent with Chris's family. Unfortunately "Grandaddy" (Ned, Chris's dad) was sick with a cold, and had to hang low. That's ok, Grandaddy. Davis says he'll catch you on the next visit when he hopes you're feeling better. Vicki (Chris's mom) fixed supper for us, and it was delicious. Great Grandaddy, Jon, and Jon's girlfriend Lauren were all there as well. Davis loves his "Quiet Book" that he got from Mimi and Grandaddy. To top off our visit, Davis got his first "sink bath", which he LOVED.
We woke up early, around 7:30am to Davis giggling in the crib. He wanted out, so we came to the living room and played a while until Daddy got out of bed. We then opened our stockings and our presents from each other and to Davis. Davis got the remaining Baby Einstein DVD in the collection and a few books from Chris and me. That kid loves Baby Einstein. In fact, a television on anywhere captures his attention--he's definitely Chris's son.
Later in the morning, we got ready and drove to Stantonsburg to spend the day with my mom and my brother and Papa Bob. Davis was a little better with the "opening presents" routine by then, so it went a little smoother. He was amazed by his Fire Truck Scoot toy from Granny and Papa, and by the Choo Choo Train that Uncle Erick got him. He seems to be fascinated by the wheels on the toys, and likes to push them across the floor. The Choo Choo Train is supposed to promote crawling...so we're excited.

All the gifts were wonderful, but we feel we're blessed every single day, for the things that we oftentimes in the past, just took for granted...like our jobs, health insurance, a roof over our heads, a warm bed to sleep in, being able to take a bath/shower when we need to, clothes to wear, food to nourish our bodies, a healthy baby, supportive family and friends, and we could go on and on. This time of year is about giving, about being thankful, and about remembering why we even celebrate.

Glad to see your family had a wonderful Christmas. While all the pictures are adorable, I love the wild hair pics the best! And I don't know if I'd be smiling so big if someone bought me a Duke hat :)
