We recently got to puppy-sit Jaxon, a miniature Dachshund. Despite being around my mom's dog, Mattie and Chris's parents' dogs Layla and Baylie, Davis was a little "sketchy" of Jaxon at first (probably because he barked at him, thinking Davis was ready to play)...but after a little "warm-up" period, Davis realized things were ok, and ended up ignoring him the rest of the night. (Silent treatment--a trait he learned from his mother, no doubt).
We really had fun puppy-sitting Jaxon, but I realized, VERY QUICKLY, that I had no business even THINKING about getting a dog for the family. They are essentially, another child, and though really nice to have around, we think one is enough until the next one arrives!!

Isnt he just beautiful...Davis is to of course. Any time you reminding of puppy+child+one on the way feel free to borrow.
