Tubes are soooo "in".

After about 16 weeks of different antibiotics and persistent ear infections, Davis finally got tubes placed in both ears last week. We are hoping for an abrupt "end" to the ear infection fairy. She had definitely worn out her welcome. This is a picture of an ear tube; it's the little bluish "thing" down at the bottom of the eardrum in this picture. Ear tubes provide an "escape route" for the "junk" that gets caught in the middle ear when kids get colds, have reflux, etc, etc. Just in time, too, as Davis and everyone else in his class have hunkered down with snotty noses and cough just in time for the cool weather season.
